Challenge 

Having persuaded key individuals that an investment fund should be set up to finance community projects, Khanyile helped to establish Thebe Investment Corporation in 1992. A community activist for most of his adult life, Khanyile has participated in numerous development programmes and community-based organizations.

He has served as a director on a number of listed and unlisted companies and serves on various boards in a non-executive capacity, such as Shell SA Refinery and Vodacom SA. He is also the Independent Chairman of Santam and non-executive chairman of the JD Group. He holds an Honours degree in Accounting and Finance from the University of Birmingham, a Fellowship in Development Finance at Princeton University and an Honorary Doctorate from the University of Transkei. 

The resignation of Vusi Khayile from Thebe was very special when considering his contribution to this organization. Our challenge was to create visual content which would tell the story of who Vusi Khanyile is as a person.

Objective 

Thebe Investment Corporation hosted a spectacular farewell gala dinner to celebrate Vusi and his achievements with the organization. This event was filled with entertainment and heart warming tributes from his family and his colleagues. We managed to document the evening and created opportunities to interview influential people he worked with at Thebe Investment Corporation.

Execution 

This was executed as a half day event. Ours, as Exquisite Motivity was to capture all the activities and engagements which would document the memories of the day.  All the event elements were covered such as venue detail, registration, speeches, employee engagement & interviews.
